Welcome to Syndicated, a TV show and episode tracker. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Kurt Metz, an individual based in Colorado, USA (“Syndicated,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Syndicated mobile app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You sign in with an email address and password, or with your Apple or Google account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
Syndicated lets you search for TV shows, build a personal library, track watched episodes and rewatches, rate, like, and review episodes and seasons, keep lists, and see what to watch next and what’s upcoming. It also has community features: a channel for your profile that other members can follow, a feed of what the members you follow are watching, reviews, episode comment threads, likes, and public lists. Community features are optional. Your channel is private until you choose to make it public, and you can use Syndicated as a personal tracker without following anyone or posting anything. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. The Service is provided free of charge; if we introduce paid features in the future, we will provide the applicable terms at that time.

The tracking data you create (your library, watch history, ratings, likes, and favorites) belongs to you, and so does anything you write: reviews, comments, list titles and descriptions, and your display name and profile picture (together, “your content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content as needed to operate the Service. For tracking data that means syncing it across your devices and computing your statistics. For content you share with the community it also means showing it to the other members who are allowed to see it: a public channel is visible to any member, a private channel to the followers you approve, and an episode comment to any member who has marked that episode watched. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except that copies may remain in backups for a limited period and that we may keep a record of removed content as described in section 6.
You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to share, and make sure it follows section 4. We do not endorse any member’s content and are not responsible for it, but we may remove it as described below. We handle your content as described in our Privacy Policy.
Some of what you see in Syndicated is written by other members. If you see content or a member that breaks these Terms, you can report it from the menu on that content or on the member’s channel. Reports come to us, and the reported member is not told who reported them. You can also block a member, which hides the two of you from each other across the Service.
We review reports and may remove content, or suspend a member from community features, at our discretion and without notice to the member who reported it. A community suspension means the member can no longer post, comment, like, or follow, and other members can no longer see their channel or content. It does not affect their personal tracking data, their use of the rest of the Service, or their ability to export or delete their data. We keep a record of reports and of content we remove so that we can review our own decisions and handle repeat problems. We do not pre-screen content and are not obligated to act on every report, but we aim to review reports promptly, and we do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior.

Show and episode metadata such as titles, descriptions, artwork, air dates, and cast is provided by TheTVDB and is subject to their terms. This metadata is provided “as is” and may be incomplete or inaccurate; air times in particular are approximate. Metadata provided by TheTVDB. Syndicated is not affiliated with, and does not host or stream, any of the shows it lists.
The Service itself, including the Syndicated name and logo, the software, and its design, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access, or restrict your use of community features as described in section 6, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service, we will give notice and keep data export available as described in the Syndicated pledge. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any metadata will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Syndicated and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Syndicated and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
If you download the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must also comply with the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which supplements these Terms.
If you download the app from Google Play, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Google, and that Google is not responsible for the app or its content. Google has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Your use of Google Play is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.
Where an app store’s own rules conflict with these Terms, that store’s rules control for downloads made through it, and only to the extent of the conflict.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
